2026 Youth Justice Summit
On April 9, 2026, Capital City Public Charter School juniors took over teaching duties and facilitated interactive workshops for their peers at the annual Capital City Youth Justice Summit.
The six sessions of twenty-seven workshops encompassed a range social justice topics including immigration rights, housing rights and inequality, climate change, sexual health education, criminal justice, racism in healthcare, policing, courtroom bias, and more.
Students engaged their peers with quizzes, games, “what would you do” scenarios, role plays, and other interactive tools.
