With support from the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, Story District is offering a free one-day storytelling course for teachers and counselors working in Capitol Hill middle and high schools.
This workshop focuses on educational storytelling—giving you practical tools you can bring straight into your classroom. You’ll help students express themselves, build trust, and connect with one another through story.
You’ll also explore how storytelling in the classroom can support DCPS Essential Practices and boost engagement, communication, and critical thinking.
It’s more than just skill-building. It’s also a day to reset. You’ll be in community with fellow educators, sharing ideas and experiences in a space that values creativity, care, and real connection.
Application Deadline: July 23
