One Year of Occupation: 11 Days of Action

Join FREE DC for 11 Days of Action!

For 11 days, from August 1 through August 11, join FREE DC to reclaim the DC spaces that have been sites of this regime’s attacks. On August 11, 2026, the District of Columbia will have been under hostile military occupation for one year. For a year now, DC communities have had armed soldiers patrolling our streets, surges of federal police, multiple attacks on our local laws, and threats from this president against our elected leaders.

During these 11 Days of Action, FREE DC will tell the truth about Trump's occupation and define it for what we know it to be: an illegitimate and damaging attack on DC communities, and a threat to our rights both locally and nationwide.
