About this event

Come explore Kingman and Heritage Islands on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM with your family and friends! Experience all the amazing activities the islands offer including paddling, nature walks, bird watching, scavenger hunts, and so much more! 

The District Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is partnering with Friends of Kingman and Heritage Islands, Living Classrooms of the National Capitol Region, Free Forest School, Casey Trees, Anacostia Community Boathouse, and more to lead family friendly activities. This event will also be an opportunity to learn about current and future plans for the islands!
