About the screening

Learn from the Past, Fund the Future of Housing Justice in DC

Join Showing Up for Racial Justice D.C. to meet as a community for a screening of Barry Farm: Community, Land & Justice in Washington and to raise money for Empower DC!

A small neighborhood nestled in Southeast D.C., the Barry Farm community holds an incredibly rich slice of Washington, D.C.’s history. Empower DC, an experienced, visionary, D.C.-focused organization fighting for housing justice, has been alongside the Barry Farm community for more than a decade, as the community has fought to preserve access to affordable housing and secure historic preservation recognition.

Join us to celebrate the history and fund Empower DC’s ongoing movement for justice!
