Grounded in five core fields—Behavioral and Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, Public Policy, and Arts and Humanities—this convening will highlight cutting-edge scholarship and policy ideas aimed at dismantling structural inequities.

Panel discussions and sessions will explore topics including policy and systemic change and the role higher education plays in the eradication of anti-black racism in society. With a strong emphasis on regional relevance, the event will elevate the experiences and insights of communities across Prince George’s County and the broader DMV area.

The conference aims to:

  • Build a regional network of academics, practitioners and students committed to eradicating anti-Black racism

  • Facilitate critical dialogue around current challenges and barriers to equity

  • Explore actionable policy and practice-based solutions to advance racial justice
