Teaching for Change is part of the America 433+ campaign to protect endangered science, public memory, Indigenous knowledge, and historical interpretation across all 433 National Park sites and other public lands and institutions.
Join us this Juneteenth from 1–4pm at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park for a teach-in on how our shared stories are being erased, censored, or manipulated at our national parks, and what we can do to protect them. Kids can earn Junior Resistance Ranger badges, and participants of all ages can write postcards to legislators and explore the full history of Harpers Ferry, from the Black raiders that joined John Brown to the Freedmen’s Bureau and Storer College.
