We want to hear your stories! Please tell us about what lesson(s) you used during the Black Lives Matter Week of Action in Schools. D.C. area teachers can receive a free book for participating in this survey thanks to generous support from individual donors and publishers. Middle and high school teachers will receive one of the following books: The Rock and the River, Betty Before X, The John Carlos Story: The Sports Moment That Changed the World, All American Boys: A Novel, As Brave As You, or March Forward, Girl: From Young Warrior to Little Rock Nine. Early childhood and elementary school teachers will receive one of the following: Child of the Civil Rights Movement, Mumbet’s Declaration of Independence, Tan to Tamarind: Poems about the Color Brown, Mama Africa!: How Miriam Makeba Spread Hope with Her Song, The Book Itch: Freedom, Truth, & Harlem’s Greatest Bookstore, Freedom on the Menu: The Greensboro Sit-Ins, Ellen's Broom, or A Sweet Smell of Roses.
