Traditionally at this time of year, our President delivers a State of the Union Address, a lengthy speech noting highlights from the past year and priorities for the coming year.
But democracy is a dialogue, not a monologue.
In this spirit, individuals and organizations across the U.S. will host story circles as part of The People’s State of the Union project. It is through sharing moments that matter to us, as individuals and as members of our varied communities, that we are able to create a more authentic and rich picture of the state of our union.
Whether you teach, work, attend, or have children in a school or university, or simply have an interest in schools and society, we’d love for you to come and join the story circle to explore the state of education in our communities.
