Social studies educators are invited to attend the 115th annual conference of the Middle States Council for the Social Studies, hosted at the Westin Tyson’s Corner (7801 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22043).

This conference will feature over 40 high-quality sessions, 30-plus exhibitors, and a fantastic opportunity to network with hundreds of social studies educators from DC, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY and beyond.

On the morning of Friday, Mar. 2nd, conference participants will be able to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture as part of a special arrangement we have made with the museum.

Saturday, Mar. 3rd will include a luncheon with keynote address by Karen Korematsu, founder of the Fred T. Korematsu Institute which is named for her father who challenged the government’s internment of Japanese Americans during World War II (Korematsu v. United States).

DCPS educators can now register to attend for only $10 (discounted from $80) using the coupon code DCPS2018 when you register.

It’s free to join MSCSS, so click here to sign up to get their direct communications and email Scott Abbott with any questions.
