The Washington D.C. Hispanic American Cultural Festival, now known as Fiesta DC, celebrated its first festival in 1970. It's one of the biggest community-organized events in Washington and on the East Coast.
The annual event, which celebrates the art and culture of Latinos in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, started when Mayor Walter Washington proclaimed the founding date through the Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs in 1969.
Celebrate the 49th year of the Hispanic Festival with a Photography Exhibition. The Photography Exhibition presents the work of Nancy Shia.
