Join Politics & Prose for an event in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Coretta Scott King Award.

Eloise Greenfield and Jason Reynolds will be in conversation with Deborah D. Taylor, a youth librarian and recipient of the 2015 Coretta Scott King-Virginia Hamilton Practitioner Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Eloise Greenfield, the recipient of the 2018 Coretta Scott King-Virginia Hamilton Award for Lifetime Achievement, has written and published more than 40 books.

Jason Reynolds is a bestselling author of books for children and young adults. He won the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent for his debut novel, When I Was the Greatest.

Authors and moderator will speak about their work, honor the trailblazing voices who have paved the way for contemporary stories, and recognize the changes that still need to be made. 

This is a Children’s Book Week event. Moderated by Deborah D. Taylor. For ages 10 and up.
